Culture
The Northeast Kingdom has a rural culture with a close connection to the land that goes back generations. The Orchard Cabin is situated on Coles Mountain on land owned by the Cole family for generations with many in the area remembering playing in the orchard in which the cabin sits. Mr. Cole runs a large maple syrup business and the family hosts weddings overlooking Lake Willoughby at the Wedding Barn. There is a strong Amish community in the area. Explore the Culture of the NEK on horseback, in a horse drawn carriage, pick up some maple syrup, or visit the "Museum of Everyday Life" that exemplifies appreciation for the simple things in life.
